Winter WellFest is a feel-good festival for Health and Care staff across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

A 5-day, feel-good virtual festival that provides short, easily accessible sessions to promote your wellbeing.

Please fill out this survey to book onto as many sessions as you’d like to. Hold the time in your diary and Microsoft Teams links will be sent out shortly.

Descriptions of the Sessions

Mindful Moment

A 5-10 minute mindfulness exercise and an opportunity to pause and reset your mind and body. Each day we will offer a short session on mindfulness. The same session will be repeated each day at 9am and 4pm.

Financial Wellbeing with Dawn Cummings

We are pleased to announce that we are working in partnership with the Money and Pensions Service to provide you with details about access to a wider range of tools and advice to support you and your colleagues in these uncertain times.  The rise in cost of living is a concern for many and balancing financial priorities can be a significant worry.  We have organised a webinar with Dawn Cummins, Regional Partnerships Manager for the Money and Pensions Service, who will demonstrate and provide links to Money Helper, which provides impartial help, is backed by the government and is free for anyone to access. 

Compassionate Leadership with Matt Stainsby and Jodi Pennington

Matt and Jodi will offer a brief introduction to the science of compassion and how this sits at the very heart of what makes healthcare caring. This brings together our understanding of how the human brain has developed over time and how we regulate our experiences to understand our capacity for helping others and for working positively together. As a staff group, it can be a useful way to understand our own or our team’s response to challenges in our work (and lives) and can help us think about how to build healthier teams.  

Bouncebackability with Clare Knighton

An exploration of self-care, the impact of stress on us, ways you can manage your own wellbeing and how bouncebackability is the new resilience!

Neurodiversity Wellbeing Group with Clare Knighton

A group for individuals, as well as supervisors and leaders, who may feel they have neurodiverse traits (either diagnosed or undiagnosed) and want to have space to talk with others, listen to guest speakers and share tips and ideas for working and living well with neurodiversity.

Imposter Syndrome with Maddie Groves

Do you often doubt your own abilities? Do you have a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud? Come along to this session to learn more about feeling an imposter at work, and how we can overcome these feelings.

Psychological PPE with Maddie Groves

This session will focus on actions that can be taken to protect your mental health, the mental health of those around you, and protect against burnout.

Pelvic Health with Charlotte Mason

To kegel or not to kegel? A brief introduction to pelvic health, signs of pelvic floor dysfunction, how to do your pelvic floor exercises and who should be doing them.

How Can the Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub Support Me? with Kate Leese and Maddie Groves

Understanding more about the role of the Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub in supporting health care and social care staff across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Being active with osteoarthritis

Qiki Gong

This is six session video series, provided by Ruth and Alan, creators of Qiki Gong.

A booklet accompanies the video sessions.

Qiki Gong is a fusion between Qi Gong and Reiki to provide a mind-body-spirit practice through gentle movements, breathing techniques, and calm intent to improve both mental and physical health. The sessions are produced to build on the movements of the previous video session to create a full sequence. All the moves can be carried out either standing or sitting down.

The movements are very gentle but attendees are advised to consult a medical professional before embarking on the course if there are any health concerns, just as you would for any exercise programme. There is a booklet to as an additional feature called QiKi Gong for Your Wellbeing
